The Essex County Youth Soccer Association (ECYSA) is a youth soccer
league located in northeastern Massachusetts that was founded in 1976.
ECYSA is affiliated with the United States Youth Soccer Association
(USYSA) and the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) and
provides intertown travel competition for both girls and boys for 30
soccer clubs representing 34 cities and towns. We offer two 8 game
playing seasons per year, fall and spring. The fall season is
non-result oriented for ages U-10 through U-14, while the spring is a
competitive season for ages U-12 through U-19 that leads to a league
and state tournament. U-10 soccer is small sided non-results oriented
in both spring and fall. We currently field an average of 530 teams per
season which represents approximately 7500 players and makes us the
second largest soccer travel program in Massachusetts.
ECYSA is dedicated to promoting the game of soccer and does this through organized competitions and educational programs for the benefit of players, coaches, referees, and the general public. Our goal however is to provide the youth of Essex County with the benefits that can be realized through participation in a team athletic endeavor. We attempt to accomplish this by providing a quality experience that will in turn encourage them to develop a love of the game. Our guiding philosophy is that while soccer is what we do and love, it is merely a tool to be used in helping to develop our primary product; WE ARE IN THE "KID" BUSINESS!
